Some Anecdotes from the Life of a Surgeon

By | 25/06/2024

Our speaker in July is local u3a member Chris Good. He will be talking about his career in medicine. The talk is titled ‘Some Anecdotes from the Life of a Surgeon’ and he will cover episodes in his time as a student, as a junior surgeon; in the Territorial Army; in A&E; standing in for Father; in industry; and off duty. He will briefly reflect on the pros and cons of working in the NHS then and now, and end with a couple of rather unlikely events. This promises to be a wide-ranging and entertaining talk so do ensure it features in your diary.

Please note that any views are those of the speaker and do not represent the u3a.

The talk will be held at the Desborough Bowling Club at 10 Green Lane, Maidenhead SL6 1XZ. Please aim to arrive between 2.00 and 2.15pm. To avoid problems with parking, please share rides if possible. You may park in the spaces for buses.
