If you are interested in improving your spoken French as well as your language and translation skills and would like to keep reasonably abreast of what’s going on in France and its territories, do come along and try us out.
Currently, the format is:
We spend the first hour talking (or trying to speak) in French – often sharing our own news and putting the world to rights – and after the prerequisite coffee with biscuit break, we share an article that one of us has found in a magazine, on the web etc. or even on the odd occasion, has written themselves.
We take it in turns to host & lead a session and to prepare a text so the responsibility is shared between us all.
Abilities range from fluent to the equivalent of GCE (& improving!) French with a wide range in between these 2 levels. Group members are supportive and it’s surprising how quickly what you can actually understand and read/speak improves.
