If you have ever laughed or cried at a poem, or if you have a favourite poem, or if you always wondered what a particular poem meant, then please join us. We have a very down-to-earth and unpretentious group, currently eight so we have space for up to four more members. We do tackle serious subjects – we’ve had recent talks on the life and poetry of Seamus Heaney, on John Keats and Women,  and on the life and poetry of Dylan Thomas – but we also like poems that make us laugh. If you don’t feel that you want to commit, you would be welcome to join us for a taster session and then decide.
