We’re bitterly disappointed to move to tier 4 at Christmas but this new strain of COVID-19 is spreading even faster. It’s a devastating blow to our own wellbeing and local communities and businesses, just when we were all looking forward to some much-needed traditional festive cheer.
Not everyone has symptoms – so assume you have it. Resist the urge to see family and friends. This is a tipping point in the pandemic so our actions now will affect the next few months.
COVID-19 rates are high and rapidly increasing. Don’t drop your guard. COVID-19 fatigue is as dangerous as the virus.
Every single one of us needs to play our part to save lives. We’re all personally responsible. This is just one Christmas, remember. If we work together now and stick to the rules, we can all celebrate it properly next year. But for Christmas 2020, protect your families and loved ones, and stop the NHS being further inundated.
Remain vigilant both outside and indoors. If you develop symptoms, self-isolate at home and get tested. If you need support, we have a variety of resources to help you. See the COVID-19 page on our website for more details.
